Mommy woke up Sunday to the sound of Daddy’s cuppa tea chant. Daddy got up with me early so Mommy could sleep in, but after 9:00 a.m. he needed his cuppa. Tea tastes soooooooooo much better when someone else makes it for you.
There was only one teabag left in our tea container (shock, horror!), but crafty Mommy anticipated us running out and reached into the cupboard to get a brand spanking new box of PG Tips.
As Daddy was savoring his cuppa and reveling in his Englishness, I cut out the entry form on the back of the PG box and filled it out. Ok, so I guessed about the number of seats at the new Wembley Stadium. Surely they won’t hold that against me. If I win we’ll all get free tea for life!
Today was a very pretty day, so Mom, me, Gran and cousin Shana met up in Tilgate Park for a picnic.
Cousin Shana was absolutely pooch mad, and she had to ask every single dog owner if their dog was friendly. Every minute or so out came the dreaded question, “Is your dog friendly or is he a horrible, maneating nasty thing that’ll snip off my fingers?”. And luckily for everybody’s sanity, 99% of the time Shana got to pet her mutt.
As the four of us trudged along, three ladies and a slightly glum-looking man walked in our opposite direction. They had a shaggy black doggie with them, and of course Shana just had to ask her question. Later as Shana was petting their dog, the lonely man mentioned to Gran he was friendly too. Suddenly Gran looked very uneasy and made a decision for all of us to continue our walk.
I kept shouting to Gran all the man wanted a good petting, but she was having none of it.
Ok, I can’t keep quiet about this for another second. Here’s what’s happening:-
My blog is going to be featured in an English newspaper, The Sunday Express. The article is going to come out probably in a couple of weeks.
The photographer, Michael Clement, stopped by our place last Friday and snapped pictures of me. He was shouting, “Looky looky!”, and “Make love to the camera, baby!”, (the second statement is a bit of an exaggeration) and I was doing my best not to disappoint.
Mr Clement was very nice and he kindly burned my pictures to disc and handed them to Mommy. We can keep the images, but he asked us not to use them on the blog before the article is released.
As you know, Mommy and I have been taking advantage of the short British summer. We have been playing outside a lot, and Mommy’s arms, face and neck are incredibly tan. When she takes off her shirt to take a shower, she looks like she’s wearing a white t-shirt! This fact should make her third grandmother proud.
